Internal Browser?

I have been having problems getting the internal browser for my crrent RSS reader working.  I am using RSSOwl.  It just gives an error for a "MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME" shell variable.  I've tried setting it to all sorts of things, and nothing is working.  I have firefox installed, and I don't know if I need mozilla as well?  That seems like a stupid question, but I don't know what to do to get this to work.  Any help would be great, thanks.
