Hello all.
Shortly after installing Arch Linux along with GNOME 3 w/ GNOME shell, I've heard that the MATE fork of GNOME 2 is available. I'm currently compiling it with yaourt. Does GDM 3.2 have any sort of option to switch between DEs, or do I have to downgrade to the old version of GDM via AUR?
I made this account 10 years ago when I was an ignorant and insufferable teenager.
I apologise to all the people I annoyed with my cringe in the past.

GDM should work fine as you have it. If you have a problem (I doubt you will, but...), tell us about it.

mate doesn't install along side with gnome, it replaces package. you will end up with a non working gdm 3.2
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
