Hi,
I have a new installation of Arch Linux and I'm trying to boot the installation for the first time. I'm using a Grub 2 (UEFI) for booting the system. The system hangs at the following status line:
:: Waiting for UDev uevents to be processed [BUSY]
There are few threads about this issue, but it seems to me that it could have multiple reasons. For a few people the system boots after 30 seconds with a [FAILED] status notification - that's not the case for me (my system simply hangs at this point). There is also a bug report about wireless lan cards. I'll have one (attached to the machine via USB), but I haven't set it up yet and also I've unplugged it from the machine (doesn't change anything), besides that the chips is ath9k and not broadcom as mentioned in the bug report. I don't know where to start to debug. So one idea might to boot a live cd and chroot to the system and try to find out if something has writen something to /var/log/messages or if dmesg could be helpful.
I'll appreciate any help at all. Maybe somebody could point me into the right direction?

P.S.: I've had some trouble booting the ArchBoot Live CD. The system was hanged while loading the 'noveau' module and in 2 out of 10 boot attemps the system actually booted. While it was booting I've got multiple udev errors about not capable loading some PCI device (and printing a PCI device id). So maybe this might be a starting point :-/

I've booted a live cd, did a chroot on my installed system and checked /var/log/messages and there is no relevant entry, but maybe somebody else see something?

No, since I don't have a LDAP backend or migrated to a LDAP backend (as the section in the Wiki suggests). I've read the udev wiki article before I've wrote this article. But, thanks anyway.

I don't have neither a brcmsmac nor a rtl8192se based NIC. Maybe I don't understand the solution you suggest (or you simply just refer to the guy who was asking another question in this thread).

I've updated to the newest kernel today (via the install cd) and now I get graphic errors and it is impossible to read the boot process ouput. Anyway it still hangs and there is no output at all.

I blacklisted nouveau and installed via the install cd (and a chroot to the existing system) the official nvidia drivers. The system boots, but I'm getting a failed on udev.
