special device does not exist: /dev/xxxx

I can boot ubuntooslow live CD 10 and the partition even mounts.  I can also boot it from grub and it works.  But for some reason, it doesn't want to work from with in my everyday arch.  I also have OpenBSD partitions, but I don't think it is colliding with these as those numbers are higher up.  It will show the partition entry in fdisk -l, but won't work with any application.  Gparted says something about logical partition but doesn't contain extended partitions.

It's a partition that is listed in /etc/fstab as noauto.  Then I try to mount it in the same place where it says in /etc/fstab.  But why would this bother something like gparrted?
