[SOLVED] Help Starting Ushare at Boot

First of all I want to say that arch has the best wiki documentation. This is my first time using arch, and I have been able to answer all my questions using the wiki.

Usually I use mediatomb, but since Ushare is availiable through pacman I decided to use it instead. Ushare works great when I run it by entering "ushare" in the terminal, but I would like it to start at boot and run in the background. How can I do this?

The package includes an init script. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Daemons

Re: [SOLVED] Help Starting Ushare at Boot

Thanks Raynman. I added ushare to my daemons, and it starts on boot now.

I have a new problem though.

When I start ushare as a daemon my media folder on the tv is empty.
I tried /etc/rc.d/ushare restart, but the same thing happens, empty folder.

If I stop the daemon, and run ushare from the terminal everything works fine.

Re: [SOLVED] Help Starting Ushare at Boot

That is most likely because it runs as a different user. The wiki indicates this can be configured through /etc/conf.d/ushare.

Re: [SOLVED] Help Starting Ushare at Boot

Thanks again Raynman, everything works perfect now. I updated the wiki to include these instructions for others who want to run ushare at boot.
