Printing problem

I am trying to print from linux to a windows machine. The Windows machine is set up OK becuase every thing worked Ok when I was printing from Ubuntu.

I have tried the standrd cups set (localhost:631) to add a printer. It seems to install the printer OK but nothing actually prints.

I then tried gnome-cups-manager (from community) It adds the printer but on the last stage says it cannot find the printer. The terminal messages are :

** (gnome-cups-add:4900): WARNING **: authenticating with SHMONKEY for IPC$
Selected ppd file = HP-PhotoSmart_7760-hpijs.ppd

(gnome-cups-manager:4917): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.

** (gnome-cups-manager:4834): WARNING **: failed request with status 200
Selected ppd file = pxlcolor.ppd
Selected ppd file = HP-PhotoSmart_7760-hpijs.ppd

** (gnome-cups-manager:4834): WARNING **: connect = 'smb://192.168.1.100/photosmart'

** (gnome-cups-manager:4834): WARNING **: method        :'smb'

host    :'192.168.1.100'

Does anybody know how I can fix this ?
