how do you install and use them?

First of all descompress tar.gz or tar.bz2 wich contains the theme and put the resultant directory in ~/.themes , then with obconf you can set any theme you've got in ~/.themes

but now pacman won't update anything, after it updated itself I renamed pacman.conf to pacman.conf.bak, and renamed pacman.conf.pacsave or whatever to pacman.conf so not sure why it isn't working, it won't update my wesnoth

sorry for so many posts, but it seems pacman didn't even update itself, -V still says 2.9.6 when it should be 2.9.6-2 right?
