I have a USB keyboard that works fine when the system starts, but if I disconnected and then reconnected it stops working. I'd exclude a keyboard issue because I can disconnect and reconnect the very same keyboard on another machine running Ubuntu 11.10.
The keyboard is equipped with a usb hub, that is recognized when reconnected, but no trace of the input device
This is the dmesg output:

I've noticed that the same happens if I disconnect the keyboard while the grub menu is displayed, does this mean it's an hardware issue? (the motherboard is an Asus M5A88-EVO)
The kernel is
Linux 3.2.1-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jan 23 12:40:01 UTC 2012
Any idea?
