Intel GMA4500MHD with xf86-video-intel driver doenst work

Hi,

i have some trouble to run this video card in my acer travelmate 5735Z.
i install the video driver as describe in the wiki article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel
so kms should be enabled by default. in my xorg.conf i choosed intel as my driver.
with this settings, during the boot process. the screen goes dark, but still booting. this happens directly when the localization starts.
i tried then to disable kms via grub.menu with i915.modeset = 0. if i do so, it boots just normaly but wihtout loading my wm.
in /var/log/Xorg.0.log  are some errors:
(EE) open /dev/fb0/ No such file or directory
(EE) Screens found, but none have a usabele configuration
Because of this i changed in xorg.conf the driver to vesa.
With the vesa driver, i get a horrible resolution but the vm works.
i searched in the forum for the graphic chip, but these topics weren't helpful for me.
any help is greatly appreciated

And remove your xorg.conf. It's not needed for Intel cards unless there is some special setting you want to do.

hey,

thanks for your advise. i tried this already without removing my xorg.conf.
the only thing i didnt try out of this wiki is to downgrade my kernel to 2.6.31.6-1
if i set i915.modeset = 1 to enable kms i got a blank screen. no idea what to do with it. doesnt matter if a add in mkinitcpio.conf i915 and intelagp.  i cant post any log of this boot, during the blank screen because i have to reboot blind.
i have an more or less easy question, how do i find out, wich driver is in use for my graphic card.
i tried lspc -v:

i would expect somesthing like vesa, or intel but there is nothing similiar. i'm sorry, if this question is to obvious for others. and the another point is, my resolution is 1024x768 but it should be 1366x768. so if anyone is able to help me, i would be grateful.
