Okay so this sucks a lot. I used to install Arch Linux on Faytechs and setup kiosks running Arch Linux. All I did is blacklist the touchscreen module and Arch Linux would treat it as a mouse. That was all fine and dandy, wonderful even, it's all I needed. This was on kernel 2.6. Now I'm on 3.2.2-1 ... it's not listed in /dev/input/ and it's not in /proc/bus/input/devices.
This is specifically the 10"4 Touch PC model FT 1040 PC. I've hit a roadblock here and I'd really love a second opinion at this point. Should I get the 2.7 kernel (which I'm assuming is in the AUR) and just wait for 3.x to support this device which was previously compiled in?
I really really don't want to use Debian but it's starting to look bleak . Debian kind of works on everything but Arch Linux is infinitely easier to use and configure imho.

I ended up using the 2.7 kernel and I've been on an older version of Arch Linux ever since!
