Re: e17-cvs packages

Founix:

What about adding Etk, etkconfig and entropy to your repo?

I have tried getting it to work myself, and etk is buildinig nicely, but neither etkconfig nor entropy will build correctly.

Re: e17-cvs packages

Yes, I can add etk, entropy...and others if you want.
It's possible, the only problem is that I don't have time this week for making the pkgbuild sad

Re: e17-cvs packages

Huh, yeah. But EFM is badly unstable. It crashes most of the time, leading e17 to crash too sad Right now, EFM isn't usable, but we can have hopes it would be working good in a few months smile

Note: e17 isn't a WM, but a Graphical Shell. The first one to be as the dev say.

Re: e17-cvs packages

Geez, E17 is getting better and better! smile I have noticed one annoying thing lately however, which is when a title bar is clickheld for the first time, a white box replaces the cursor. It also occurs with the sizing cursor as well. It's fine from then on, however.

And thank you to fouinix for maintaining an E17 CVS repository! smile

Founix: Have you had any trouble with the cvs from e17? I can login/download some libs/apps in e17, but then suddenly it says something like "timeout" or "peer disconnected"...

It aint my screenie btw, it was taken from Get-e.org which took it from hisham.cc (one of the devs)
but it is nice anyway big_smile one can hardly wait!!

Nah, I'm using another theme called Milky. However, I've found that the theme is irrelevant, as the issue occurs with the default theme as well.

I also believe it has being adressed in the mailinglist...so the devs knows about it

Excellent. smile

Re: e17-cvs packages

Hi!

Founix: Two things that might cause some trouble...first, the Evolume code has been updated to version 0.0.12  second, and more important....the e_modules cvs section is going away, read this over at get-e.org

Get-E has now a new section: Add-Ons. This section contains for now only modules, but there will be more subsections like config apps, ...
The modules subsection contains the modules code from e_modules. This cvs dir will be removed soon, as this will be the new global module source. You just need to download the archive, alter the autogen.sh to your needs and  run ./autogen.sh && make && sudo make install. If you don't want to install globally, you can install to ~/.e/e/modules/ .

What it is saying is basically that all modules will be erased? and only found on the get-e.org site? or what? what is this "global module source"?

Re: e17-cvs packages

Hi !

I have updated the repo this night.
I added tclock, ecalendar, evolume requested by Cybertron (thanks for pkgbuild) and the librairies etk-cvs.

I have problem for compiled evfs-cvs and entropy-cvs.
I don't have time enormously and I need your help wink

Also, impossible to compil evolume 0.11 / 0.12 and since 1 or 2 week  e17genmenu. If you have solutions ?

It seems that evolume needs the file: /usr/lib/libecore_evas.la and that is because it is in /opt/e17/lib/libecore_evas.la

so my guess is that it is hardcoded in the source or the prefix don't work..
I will look into it later tonight...

evfs and entropy I haven't tried yet...will look into it tonight or tomorrow..

i will gladly try and provide pkgbuilds big_smile

Re: e17-cvs packages

Hey guys. I have evfs and entropy, as well as evolume, compiling and working fine here. My PKGBUILDs are based on shadowhands old PKGBUILDs though, and they seem to be somewhat different from the ones you use. For instance, I'm deleting all the *.la files in all e17 packages. If it's of any help, just let me know and I'll post the PKGBUILDs I have smile

that is probably why it isn't working, I don't believe that Founix (or me for that matter) have been slaying e17...

you probably already know this, but all you need to do is to add this line as the final command of each PKGBUILD:

  rm -f `find $startdir/pkg -type f -name '*.la'`

Founix:

I have now updated all my pkgbuilds to use the libtool-slaying (everything workes ...so far ! (just input the line that nightfrost provided in the bottom of all pkgbuilds (build) funktion)
Got entropy working, but evolume is still broken...it is in the module.la (in that file there are some dependencies that are linked totally wrong /usr/lib, /home/somestrnagename/lib and so on...if I change some of these deps I get it to comple....but it is not a nice/clean solution...)

Re: e17-cvs packages

Hello,

Bravo for your work fouinix.

Two little questions :

- How can we use entrance ? entrance --help says that we have to use entranced but it doesn't seem to be in the package.

- The evolume package seems to be corrupted for a few days.
