Im having a little problem with your version Dreameen:
enlightenment: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I found libcurl.so.2 under the Acrobat Reader directory... cant understand what has that file to do with E17...
Any ideas?
(Yes, i did run pacman -R e17 before activating and downloading from your repo).

In response to my own post earlier (and maybe yours as well sud-crow), I deleted the /opt/e17 directory completely and then I downloaded all the individual packages from Deameen's repo and installed them all indivisually. That solved my problem. Maybe there's a dependency or two missing?

Okie, I'm back Now, to solve the issues you're having:
@Euphoric Nightmare: This is strange indeed. I don't have any problems with the packages. As iBertus said, they should work. You can try cleaning your pacman cache('Pacman -Scc') if the problem is still there.
@sud_crow: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3 should be provided by curl, so please double check if you have it installed. Thanks for spotting that, I will add curl to e-cvs dependencies.
@Milltek: /opt/e17/lib/libembryo.so.0.9.1 is provided by embryo-cvs so I see no reason why it shouldn't be there if you installed embryo from my repo. 8)
@Gullible Jones: As I said before, e17genmenu has to be rewritten to support the new .eap format. Don't ask me when it will happen though

Just to answer a few of the lib questions...
are you sure you have /opt/e17/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf ?
if not, add it and run ldconfig
EDIT: *sorry, forgot the complete filename*

I know this takes the mick, but I need it clarified: what do I put in .xinitrc?
I can't get anything to work, I get some symbol lookup error. Gonna try removing everything and starting again.

Good point there CyberTron
It's always good to check if you have the relevant path in your /etc/ld.so.conf. There should be /opt/e17/lib entry:
$ cat /etc/ld.so.conf
#
# /etc/ld.so.conf
#
/usr/X11R6/lib
/opt/xfce4/lib
/opt/qt/lib
/usr/lib/libfakeroot
/usr/lib/cvscedega/lib
/opt/gnome/lib
/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox
/opt/kde/lib
/opt/e17/lib
# End of file

To start e17 with your X, put
enlightenment
in your .xinitrc
That should do it.

Yep tried that but no luck.
I can't uninstall because dependencies are broken :S

imlib2-cvs vs. imlib2-devel, have the same problem.
I want pacman to continue after I say no...why doesn't it?
SOLVED: I commented out rensels tur repo (which I believe have imlib2-cvs...)

How come that solves it?
I still have dependency errors
Offline
Sigh...Repo conflicts again, I will rename my imlib2-devel package to imlib2-cvs. That should solve the dependency issue.
Offline
Adding 'enlightenment' to .xinitrc doesn't work either btw
..... BUT adding '/opt/e17/bin/enlightenment' does work
Now.... how on earth do I get menus?!?!?!
Entangle isn't found, apparently.
Offline
I wasn't careful enough, it should be:
exec enlightenment
As for the imlib2 conflict. The proper name of the package should be imlib2-devel, this is the name that packages in extra, current, community depend on if you see what I mean. So I can't really rename my package to imlib2-cvs as it'd break the dependencies required by some packages from Arch's main repositories. Thus, I have to think about the problem more deeply
Expect a proper solution soon. BTW. If you remove rensel's repo there should be no such issues, because only his packages seem to use the strange imlib2-cvs naming.
Offline
@tmadhavan: Entangle is included in e_utils-cvs, and it should be definetely installed if you did a proper installation of my packages.
Offline
ph, sorry, it solved it for me, the reason is probably that I built every package myself (using dreameen)

Update on the imlib-cvs/devel conflict:
Then only e17 packages that require imlib2-cvs are edje-cvs and epsilon-cvs, so from now on I will also provide imlib2-cvs versions of these. They won't be available through pacman though, you will have to download them manually from the server:
http://arch.lorddeath.com/e17/imlib2-cvs_compat./
UPDATE: They're already there.
Offline
OK, installed those compatible ones for now, and found that entangle is in /opt/e17/bin/entanglement - guess I need to add that to my path?
Offline
You shouldn't need to do that. Just relogin and the paths will be updated automatically.

I just installed it and everything works great.

I'm probably going to have to read some more about it, I dont even know where to edit the menu lol. That app for editing the menu is really useless, since you can only add stuff to the menus that is on the left side where those icons are. Or am i missing something? :?
Ah yes, I've found one thing. I dont have icons in evidence.
I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.

You are on the right track Lord Death.
In order to get the menues, you must have icons (eap's)
there are eaps to download, and if you cant find for your app, you must make it yourself ..(get-e.org is great for this info)
but, your menues are located in ~/.e/e/applications/favorites/.order
then just to put the eap name in the order you want them, for instace
firefox.eap
thunderbird.eap
(for getting submenus, create a new directory and put the name in the .order file. (then you must create a new .order in each of your subdirs.)
