Clementine and gapless playback

According to the Clementine FAQ, gapless playback is supported and I've installed gstreamer0.10-plugins however my live albums are playing back with a gap between tracks (these albums are MP3 (LAME) and play back without gaps on Windows with foobar2000)

I've tried removing gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins (was recommenced by a few sources) but this has not solved the problem

Is anyone else having this issue and know of a fix?

If it helps, my system is fully up to date, running latest KDE

Thanks

Re: Clementine and gapless playback

I know I sometimes tend to ask stupid questions, so here's one: Did you enable gapless playback in Clementine?^^

I think it is a known issue.

Is it not enabled by default?

Re: Clementine and gapless playback

As far as I remember I activated it manually (but it's already a while ago^^).

Re: Clementine and gapless playback

I ain't using it anymore, but having read sevmpe's link, it's seems like it's working for most ppl, except for some special LAME-encoded files...

Addendum: I've installed it, to check, but forgot I ain't using gstreamer at all and don't want to install those, too. wink
But I checked the options, and on the very first flag ("playback"? mine's localized^^), there are a bunch of options on gapless playback, you can even set the duration manually - didn't that work at all?

I'll give it another try tonight when I get home

I've found a few more bug reports, which point the finger at Clementine, apparently Banshee/GStreamer is gapless

Re: Clementine and gapless playback

Sorry for necropost but I probably found solution for gapless playback in Clementine. Try changing buffer size from default 4000 to 1000 and everything should be fine. That helped me.
