[Solved] Time messed up

Hello.

I seems to be having an issue with my time.

Here's the output of hwclock.

Thu Mar  8 03:30:40 2012  -0.672211 seconds

That should be a Wednesday (not Thu), and 8:30 (not 3:30). I have localtime, and timezone, set properly in my rc.conf, so I don't understand what is wrong here.

HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
TIMEZONE="America/New_York"

Strangely enough the time on my tint2 bar is correct (8:30), but the day is showing as Thursday.

Re: [Solved] Time messed up

Try to synchronize hardware clock by ntp [needs the ntp-package]

# ntpd -qg

Re: [Solved] Time messed up

I was hoping I wouldn't need a daemon, but I didn't realize that you could just set it manually like that with ntpd.

It worked great. Thanks. wink
