Hello,
I am using LXDE at my station. I would like to disable this annoying shortcut - whenever I would like to hit F10 in mc, it shows menu of terminal.
How can I do it?
Thanks,
Radek

Take a look in ~/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml. The keybinding is probably specified there.

You could also probably change the keysym for the F10 keycode. Use xev from terminal to find the existing keycode and keysym for F10. You can use xmodmap to change the keycode to some other keysym or even to no keysym.

Gcool: No, it is not in this file. I am looked into this file before I asked.
David Batson: Xev gives me:
KeyPress event, serial 46, synthetic NO, window 0x1c00001,
root 0xac, subw 0x0, time 1037118, (-249,487), root:(727,738),
state 0x0, keycode 76 (keysym 0xffc7, F10), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: Falseand xmodmap -pke:
keycode 76 = F10 F10 F10 F10 F10 F10 XF86Switch_VT_10 F10 F10 XF86Switch_VT_10Hovewer I am not sure how to modify this line to disable this behaviour. Can you help please? (I've read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xmodmap and http://www.manpagez.com/man/1/xmodmap/ but it is still not clear for me ![]()

You can clear the assignment by simply running:
# xmodmap -e "keycode 76 = "Burninate!

Gcool: Thank you for this command; however this procedure also disables F10 functionality in Midight Commander.

Ah right, of course. I think I slightly misunderstood the issue earlier. I just installed lxterminal and mc myself and was able to reproduce the exact same issue you have.
I was able to solve it by doing:
# xmodmap -e "keycode 76 = F10"After you've done that; edit the file .config/lxterminal/lxterminal.conf (in your home directory) and set the option "disablef10" to "true".
Burninate!

Thank you, this works perfectly for lxterminal! Have you an idea how to achieve the same in terminator? (it is terminal emulator which I am using the most)

For terminator, try the solution/workaround listed here.
