[SOLVED] Migrating from 32bit to 64bit

Hello

I'm trying to migrate from 32bit to 64bit according to this wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mi … installing. Everything went smoothly.

Now, I find myself stuck at this step https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mi … 864-bit.29.

pacman -S linux works well but I don't understand how should I "boot the new 64-bit kernel". Could somebody please explain more in detail, how should I boot into the new kernel ?

The output of uname -m is still i686, and not x86_64.

Thanks a lot !

Just reboot? uname shows you the currently running kernel.

Yep, it worked. Thanks!

I had the impression it is something more complicated and that it won't boot if I restart it.
