Right, I am going to try and be short here on the description as its all in the following link but the basics are am running oolite (using full shaders) and Am having some texture issues.
One of those texture issues was resolved by removing the oolite package and installing the build from the oolite web site.
theres something funky with the arch package of oolite......

The white cobras and nav buoys problem disappared as well as some warning about GNUSTEP and mulithreading when starting from the command line.
