Xorg & gnome broken [xps15z]

Hi guys,

So i broke my xorg & gnome setup a couple updates back and have been waiting (hoping really) for a package update that would fix it. That hasn't happened as its been over a month. So Im pretty sure its the configuration of my system. I have been through xorg log over and over and gone many different routes with no avail. Maybe somebody here can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

PS, I have always, and would like to keep doing so, manually type 'startx' from console when needed.

Re: Xorg & gnome broken [xps15z]

what's the output of startx? you can redirect it to a log file and check it afterward. Like,
startx 2>~/startx.log
then
less startx.log
