It's gone since http://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.gi … 02592237ab
It's not in git: http://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.gi … cman.8.txt but still sits on my computer, both in the manpage and in the output of 'pacman -Sh'.
Can somebody please check if it's gone from their pacman 4 man page?
I've even removed the man page and redownloaded & reinstalled pacman:
[karol@black ~]$ sudo rm /usr/share/man/man8/pacman.8.gz
rm: remove regular file `/usr/share/man/man8/pacman.8.gz'? y
[karol@black ~]$ man pacman
man: can't resolve /usr/share/man/man8/pacman.8.gz: No such file or directory
No manual entry for pacman
[karol@black ~]$ pacman -U pacman-4.0.2-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz

UPGRADE OPTIONS (APPLY TO -S AND -U)
-f, --force
Bypass file conflict checks and overwrite conflicting files. If the package that is about to be installed contains files that are already installed, this option will cause all those files to be
overwritten. This option should be used with care, ideally not at all.
Name : pacman
Version : 4.0.2-1

is done only in master branch and not in maint(where 4.0 is now)
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I got confused after Dan's remark: http://archlinux.me/wonder/2012/02/13/h … omment-232
we did remove -f as of pacman 4.0 [1], perhaps you haven’t updated in a while.
pacman 4 is in core now, why is it still in maint branch (not that I know anything about branches ;P)

Thanks, wonder. I thought I missed something and these changes are already live, but I see it's not the case: http://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.gi … xt?h=maint
