grub.conf or menu.list?

I recently reinstalled Arch and this time decided to use it as the distro on my box to have the grub files. So during the install, I installed the grub bootloader and customized the menu.list file as was offered during install. The problem is, now I can't find it, lol. I installed it to what was presumably the mbr (of the options on the disc menu I chose the top one - /dev/discs/disc or something to that effect) Grub is installed in Arch (whereis grub shows me that it is, but locate grub.conf and locate menu.list shows nothing) Maybe it is in a different directory than /etc/grub or /etc/. The system boots fine so it has to be around somewhere. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: grub.conf or menu.list?

you should have a grub directory in your /boot.

sarah@ArchLinux:~> ls /boot/grub/
device.map ffs_stage1_5 minix_stage1_5 stage2
e2fs_stage1_5 jfs_stage1_5 reiserfs_stage1_5 vstafs_stage1_5
fat_stage1_5 menu.lst stage1 xfs_stage1_5

Re: grub.conf or menu.list?

ahhh yes, thank you. I never access it from there in other distros, I always use /etc/grub.conf instead.
