Really? Understandble, given that information is concealed on the Thunar page...

It is a very common problem with very many common solutions.  If you don't say which solutions you've tried and where you are stuck, then there is little anyone here could do for you.  If you haven't even tried any of the many available solutions, then there is really nothing anyone here can do for you.

Well, *are* you in the storage group, and *do* you start your session with "exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch <your wm>" ?

Post your ~/.xinitrc.

Re: [SOLVED] Thunar-Failed to mount cant authorize

There might be something else going on with Thunar. Since a couple of days Thunar doesn't show trash and network on my setup. It does when using dbus-launch thunar. I do have exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch startlxde in my .xinitrc. I've also tried thunar-extended from AUR, same result. Then again it might be unrelated, but I have had thunar working perfectly for a long time.

If you think a downgraded version would be better, go for it! Check out /var/log/pacman.log, see which was the last version/build and install it from the pacman cache (/var/cache/pacman/pkg/) – unless you cleared the cache in the meantime, in which case you should refer to the wiki.

Re: [SOLVED] Thunar-Failed to mount cant authorize

Downgraded to thunar (1.2.3-3)
which I know worked flawlessly, but no betterment. So there must be something else updated lately which causes this. Search goes on ...
