Another problem:
tty can't login, only show login, no password, like this :
XXXXX login: abcde
jgjteriophjbotr
rhvgtbh mkergr
hbstrhtrshsr
does not prompt for a password, after a few seconds to reset the login screen.
only single-user mode can login.
maybe daemon problem?
DAEMONS=(!hwclock syslog-ng acpid sshd dbus preload !network networkmanager netfs iptables ip6tables dnsmasq crond laptop-mode alsa @ntpdate)

The TTY login isn't supposed to show the password. This is in case someone is looking over your shoulder or something.
yourhostname login: yourusername
Password: _
You using btrfs for the root drive?
"Note that Btrfs does not yet have a fsck tool that can fix errors. While Btrfs is stable on a stable machine, it is currently possible to corrupt a filesystem irrecoverably if your machine crashes or loses power on disks that don't handle flush requests correctly. This will be fixed when the fsck tool is ready."
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

only [ yourhostname login: yourusername ]
without [ Password: ]
looks input as in the buffer.
two weeks ago works well.
use btrfs six months, does not look like it problem.
