Okay, so my idea is to have 2 hard drives (1 with arch and one with windows) and 2 video cards in one case (It's a big case don't worry) and have the hard drive with windows on it use the ATI card only and have the Arch hard drive use the Nvidia card only.

Is there any way at all that this is possible?

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put it because it's not an issue per say.

This is no big deal at all, as far as Arch is concerned.

You install Windows to one HD, Arch to the other, and configurate your GRUB likewise (as you would have to do with any other configuration featuring an Arch and a Windows, or Arch and another Linux or else).
For Arch you install the Nvidia drivers.
And for Windows....I dunno, I guess, it's possible somehow...this ain't the right forum to ask for this

What kind of monitor do you have ?

If you have dual input source for the monitor, I don't see why it won't be possible.

So if I just disable the nvidia card in windows it should be fine? And I'd also need to disable the ATI card in Arch but that shouldn't be an issue.

You don't have to disable anything.
Just don't install the nvidia drivers on windows and ATI drivers on Arch linux.
I am assuming your monitor can take 2 inputs.

Windows will still pick up both cards with its own generic drivers though. Not installing proprietary 3D drivers does not change anything about that.

Windows probably uses the first PCIe slot by default. Try moving the ATI card there and the Nvidia card on the next slot.

Still, why would you want this? There's an open source driver for ATI cards too: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Radeon I'm assuming it's because of power requirements? The ATI card needs more power so you only wanna use it on Windows, for gaming ?

Personally I'd probably sell the Nvidia card. The money you'd be saving on electricity (in idle mode) over the next few years is probably lower than what you get for it anyway.

If I remember correctly there was an option to disable hardware in Windows Device Manager (or something like that).
