Hello
I got my Dell XPS 15z in the post yesterday, I've got Arch x86 running on it and most things are working nice and smooth.
Although it doesn't seem to be impacting the things I'm doing right now, I'm getting some failed UDev calls during boot:
[ 7.635338] [drm : intel_dsm_platform_mux_info] *ERROR* MUX INFO call failed
[ 7.635452] [drm : intel_dsm_platform_mux_info] *ERROR* MUX INFO call failed
[ 8.539790] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Invalid ROM contents
[ 16.521304] [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0 0xD581: i2c wr fail: -6
Not sure if it's related(it's just it states 'nouveau'); but this laptop has an integrated Intel gpu and a discrete Nvidia card, so, I have bumblebee running.
This is having an impact on the system's boot time which is rather irritating, I've done some searches on this and have only really found one result that matched about running LXDM with Linux Mint on another laptop that had similar graphics hardware.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Okay, I've manages to get rid of the nouveau problems from UDev by blacklisting it in modprobe.
However I'm still getting the intel mux messages

EDIT 2: I've found this it looks like disabling optimus in the BIOS is a workaround... however; will this effect bumblebee? (Might sound like a bit of a stupid question, just not sure if bumblebee is capable of managing this completely independent of the system)
