Hi All,
I've made a rescue system based on Arch Linux and using the archiso build scripts. I've also included tomsrtbt so you can boot older (pre i686) systems.
It's network enabled by default, so you can send someone a USB stick with it, and it should be easy to get a broken system up and running so you can SSH in and fix it remotely.
In the future I am planning to add openvpn configuration so it can "phone home" and your remote sites have even less work to do to give you access.
I'm announcing it here first so people familiar with Arch can comment on what works and what doesn't.

I have limited upload bandwidth so it's only available as a torrent:

Please download it and give it a go! If you like it, please seed. If you hate it, please comment and tell me what I've done wrong.
Thanks,
Sek
EDIT: Uploaded a torrent that should be working ...

I've created a blog post explaining my reasoning: http://sekenre.wordpress.com/2012/03/07 … scue-disk/
It's also on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/ … _comments/

I've just found this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=18424
An arch based bootdisk that's only 30MB? I've got a way to go!

It says "Many utils are supplied by busybox" so I'd call it loosely based on Arch.
