Resize /root and /home

Hi there,

my /root partition is too small and /home is too big, how can I resize partition without moving my data ?

I think you mean your / partition, not /root, right?

You cannot resize filesystems while they are mounted and unmounting / partition is not easy to do, so you will probably be best using a bootable disk with gparted on it. I think there is a gparted live and there is also parted magic, both should work pretty well.

How is it possible that I only saw that site now? Is somebody hiding all the good stuff from me?
