System Freezing (possibly ssd or wireless card)

Hi all,

I have used arch for several months with no problem.

Just a few days ago, I decided to install arch on my ssd (Mushkin Callisto DX 60GB- its a sandforce 1200 ssd).  Everything went smoothly and I have approximately the exact same configuration I had before the reinstall.

Now however, I experience crashes every few hours where the system completely locks up and I'm forced to manually power off the computer.

Within these last few days I also started to use my wireless card, a linksys wmp110 (atheros ar5008).

Could either of these two pieces of hardware be causing the problem (the ssd or wireless card)?

No other new hardware configuration has been made and my xorg logs have not revealed any problems.

What other logs should I be looking at to try to track this issue?

My system specs are

AMD phenom II 955 @ stock
Asus m3a78-T (790GX chipset)
4GB DDR2 800
60GB ssd, other sata hdds
Radeon 5850 Xfire

Thanks!

Re: System Freezing (possibly ssd or wireless card)

Hi,
did you've already checked the output of dmesg?
Maybe it could give you a hint before a system freeze.
Or you could install/activate syslog and check your logs afterwards.
