[SOLVED] banshee problems

Hi,

I am having a problem with Banshee 2.2.1 not playing songs after I have ripped some CDs. It is only the songs from these three albums that play now, everything else just says idle. I have tried a reboot, removing and importing music, reinstalling banshee, and nothing works.

I do not wish to switch to another media player as I can only get banshee to sync my iPod.

Songs play fine in VLC and other players.

Thanks

Sam

Re: [SOLVED] banshee problems

Please post Banshee's log (~/.config/banshee-1/log) and the format of the files you are trying to play.

Most of the songs are mp3, I imagine there is a handful of wma. Some m4a as well. All used to play.

Re: [SOLVED] banshee problems

Do you have the optdepends: gstreamer0.10-{good,bad,ugly}-plugins and gstremer0.10-ffmpeg?

Re: [SOLVED] banshee problems

Thanks, that has solved it, I had initially had them all but the gstreamer0.10-good and gstreamer0.10-good-plugins had become uninstalled somewhere along the line.

Thanks again,

Sam
