Screen Flickering After Kernel Update

This is my first thread, arch new convert

I'm having trouble with monitor screen that always blinks every 10 seconds, quite annoying.
Btw, my rigs specs:

proc: AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor
vga:  Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RV730 PRO [Radeon HD 4650]

Chronologically, here's the scenario:
- fresh install arch linux x86_64 (kernel 3.0.3)
- update pacman db "pacman -Syy"
- install xorg "pacman -S xorg"
- system update "pacman -Syu"
- now here goes the blinks

I believed the problem is the "pacman -Syu", and I had tried to debug every packages installed by the update. Kernel update was the last thing on my mind that might cause this incident. I had downgrade almost all the packages (100+ I think) to only discover that the problem was the kernel (linux-3.2.9-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz). And believe me, it was very tedious...

So, i downgraded to original (3.0.3) and it fixed the problem. I also experimented with previous kernel from 3.2.X down to 3.1.X, and the most up-to-date stable kernel for my rigs is 3.1.0-4 (linux-3.1-4-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz)

So, the question is, what is the problem with kernel update? Is my processor not supported yet? Or the problem lies within the video card driver? Or the kernel itself?

i dont think so
I tried "locate fglrx" & "pacman -Qs fglrx", but none

my system was fresh build from latest x86_64 arch linux installer
the only thing i installed before was xorg

fyi, graphics card driver installed are
local/ati-dri 8.0.1-2
    Mesa DRI radeon/r200 + Gallium3D r300,r600 drivers for AMD/ATI Radeon
local/xf86-video-ati 6.14.3-2 (xorg-drivers xorg)
    X.org ati video driver
