slmodem: connected, no data flow [SOLVED]

I'm using the proprietary driver for the internal modem on my laptop, packaged in Arch as "slmodem". Since the last kernel update the module is loaded fine, the modem appears in /dev, etc.; using a ppp script, I can connect to my ISP but I have no data flow.

No error messages in the logs.

Any help welcome, thanks in advance.

Re: slmodem: connected, no data flow [SOLVED]

With kernel 2.6.13 and the slmodem 2.9.9epre1-6.

I find slmodem-alsa to be more reliable overall. The slamr module often gives error.

Wvdial does not seem to work however. I use an adapted (simplified) version of these scripts:

Together with - sadly for a Gnome user - KPPP, these scripts are the only thing with which I've ever managed to connect to the internet on Linux. And I've been using a modem on Linux for 4 years.
