Arch won't shut down

Hi,
I'm on a fully updated Arch-X86_64/KDE and usually switch to sleep mode using sudo rtcwake.
In the last 3 days sometimes Arch didn't stop after above command.
In that case I opened a terminal and, using top, found two root processes-kworker and flush, running using high CPU (it's a 6-core AMD).
Trying to kill these two processes AS ROOT didn't kill them.
Eventually, after waiting, I brutally shut the system off by "a long press on power (luckily a have an ext4 journal system).

Please advise

Best regards,
Michael Badt

Re: Arch won't shut down

No,
Just regular (net) 64b install with several updates on a BIOS/grub 0.97 dual boot system.

In order to try find the trouble, please see log file below.
It seems that powerdevil is responsible for my problem.
The mouse activity is partially due to the fact that I've tried to (physically) disconnect my USB mouse and reconnected it to another USB port.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Re: Arch won't shut down

trying to kill these two processes as root didn't kill them

Did you send them sigterm or something higher priority, it they did not go away with sigterm, try sygpower or sygsys, as this will most likely kill them. I don't really have any ideas about the other stuff, but good luck anyways.
