Headphone jack issues

Hi,

I use Arch on my laptop, and it works awesomely... I found the perfect distro. But I have it in dual-boot with Windows, that I often need to run some stuff of my work.
On Arch, I don't experience any problem related to sound, but if I use Arch and reboot it to Windows, sound works fine on laptop speakers, but not on headphones. I need to turn of the laptop, then turn it on again. I tested with Ubuntu and Fedora previously on the same laptop and the issue didn't happen, so I think isn't related to a driver...

Anyone ever experienced this? How can I trace the source of this issue?

Re: Headphone jack issues

Looks like you and I have a very similar laptop, I have a Thinkpad W520 type 4282-AD4. I have the same issue as what you describe, all things work great except for sound via the headphone jack. I'll be looking into this and will post back when I make progress, but if you managed to solve this issue already I'd be interested to find out what you did.

I have not installed pulseaudio since ALSA has been fine otherwise. I'm using alsa-lib 1.0.26-1 .
