Hey I am havin another Problem with my Macbook Pro (7,1).
I resized some partitions. I managed to set up a HFS+ parition as /home share for both, MacOS and Arch.
The last time, i change the paritiontable, i was able to boot to Arch via holding down the "alt-key" so that i could start Grub.
Then i typed in grub-install /dev/sda4 (wich is actually my Arch Partition), and after a sync in rEFIt i was able booting into Grub/Arch via rEFIt again.
But this time it is somehow complicated. At first i had to boot into a live-cd session and reinstall grub to /dev/sda4, becaus the "alt-key"-trick wasn't working anymore.
Then rEFIt tells me that the MBR is already synced, but rEFIt won't boot to Arch. I can select the Penguin and then the screen stays white whith the penguin on it.
Nevertheless booting to grub via holding down the "alt-key" when starting the Laptop works.
Has anyone an idea?
My " / Parition", witch Grub installed on it (dev/sda4) is now on the last 100GB of the hdd (500GB drive), might that cause any trouble? so that rEFIt won't boot to it?
I am thankful for all of your comments!
