This is kind of hard to explain. I used nouveau for a while, and then switched over to the proprietary nvidia drivers. I have installed nvidia, nvidia-utils, lib32-nvidia-utils and opencl-nvidia. They are all version 295.33-1. I am using XFCE and Compiz on Arch x86_64. I've created an /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf file, with the contents:
# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 295.33 (buildmeister@swio-display-x86-rhel47-08.nvidia.com) Sat Mar 17 15:58:33 PDT 2012

EndSectionThe problem is, occasionally some windows won't update when there are changes in them. An easy example is Thunar - sometimes I'll open a folder and the folder will open, but the window will not change until I move my mouse it - then, when files are selected, they are actually drawn to the screen. Another example is compizconfig-settings-manager, where I'll change between tabs/settings on it and the window will not change at all sometimes until I select items with my mouse, and they are then highlighted and drawn to the screen. Here is a screenshot of the issue. Thanks for any help!
