Netbook freeze on high cpu load

My netbook sometimes is fully freezing and can be only powered off by long pressing power button. For example it happens when I`m trying to watch FullHD video with high bitrate or when yaourt is trying to create package after compilation or when I launching python gui application (using a lot of recursion in code). Where should I start to search for solution?

How new is your netbook? Sometimes they can be a bit unstable during the first 3 months of use. I couldn't even move mine without it freezing when it was new. They get beter after a while.

I bought it a month ago. But how will it become stable just with time, without any patches or updates?

Try to use lm-sensors to check the temperature. Maybe overheating, If not try to run memtest86+ to test memory.

It is not overheating, temperature is under 70C.

Try ruling out a software problem (if your temperatures are indeed correct and the sensor isn't off) by using different distros and producing the same workload (e.g. compiling a kernel or compressing a large file on Ubuntu).

Definitely do a RAM test as suggested though, if temperatures are good then those random lockups might indeed indicate faulty RAM. The test should be thorough - that is, at least 24h. If your RAM is faulty, chances are errors won't pop up immediately.

I tested RAM with memtest86+ for 10 hours, no errors found.

After the latest open radeon driver freezes happen more often, any hardware aceleration is broken It seems, that the last 2 versions of driver are just broken...
