sage-mathematics from AUR fails to build

Anyone have any ideas why eclib shared libraries failed to build. I'd like to get the program running quickly, as I'm using it for college. On an unrelated note, why hasn't it remained in the repos? Its takes quite a long time to build. Let me know if anything else will help.

No errors when building with makepkg.

about the long build time :

during compile sage uses about 3 GB memory, if you have less free memory it will need to use swap a lot.

if you have  a multi-core system you can speed up the compilation by doing

export MAKE="make -j9"

(replace 9 with number of cores +1) before starting the compile.

Sage takes a huge amount of space to compile, so building it with yauort will most likely not work. It didn't work for me. I'm going to guess your tmpfs is about 2GiB because that's how large mine was when my build failed at eclib. Try downloading the package from the AUR manually and running makepkg on a partition with a safe amount of free space, maybe 10GiB.

Thanks for the tip. Never realized any of the constraints imposed by yaourt or the spae required.

I'm getting something slightly different when I try to build this package. They all seem to be the same as this, except with different function names.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?
