[Partially Solved] APC-UPS won't poweroff after system shut-down

Case-1:
My UPS is APC Back-UPS RS 1000. I installed and configured apcupsd.

But even after the system shut-down after a power failure, the UPS keeps on running on battery. How can I set it up, so that the UPS powers-off after a system shutdown?

Case-2:
I set-up the system as per: Archlinux - APC-UPS - Hibernate. The system goes into hibernation, but after successfully hibernating, the system boots back up immediately.

Figured Case 2:
cd /etc/pm/config.d

Create a text file named: modules or config and put this in it:
HIBERNATE_MODE="shutdown"

It forces the system to shut down rather than reboot. Why the default setting when hibernating is to reboot is beyond me. A case of stupid defaults maybe.

Refer: pm-utils Advanced configuration
