After e17 update all app menus are gone

I just updated my e17 install and now when I click on the desktop the familiar entries I used to have (gnome terminal, eterm, firefox, etc) are gone.  I figured that they were wiped out during the update which is no biggie but any idea how I can recreate those entries?  Is there a text file somewhere I need to mess with?

I think they are removed routinely during the upgrade.

You can use the menu editor to rebuild the menus. Put eapps in ~/.e/e/applications/all.
