Issues building dolphin-emu & dolphin-emu-git from AUR

Hey there everybody.  I've had issues building either of those packages on a i686 system I'm running.  I don't know if it would be too much to ask but I'm curius to hear if any of you guys have trouble building on an i686 architecture.  Manually cloning the git repo and compiling from there failed.

In short, a nice fellow suggested I comment 2 lines of code out of the source code.

That's what I did and then manually did the whole :

$ cmake
$ make
# make install

and only then the code successfully built and installed.

I would like to try to figure out what the issue is and hear from anyone with a few extra moments on their hand to see if they can successfully compile this on their i686 systems.  I've compiled this successfully with no problems on many other systems - but when it came to my i686 system it failed.

Feel free to try building this on a x86_64 for science as well.  Looking at posts on the AUR there have been a few reports of failed x86_64 builds as well, but I think this had to do with the source code at the time missing this patch:
