Where to get good console fonts?

Does anyone know of a place that has good console fonts for download? I googled, but didn't find anything of value.

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

What is the package name for the Terminus fonts?  I can't seem to find it searching for either 'terminus' or 'font'...

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

It was in tehdely's repo before. I'm using my own PKGBUILD.
You can find it here:

BTW I've just made a small upgrade :-)

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

Very nice...thanks lanrat!  Definitely one of the best fixed-width fonts I've seen.  Would you mind submitting it to the AUR?

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

Should be http://www.proggyfonts.com/.  I've seen these before, but don't like them as much as what I've seen so far with Terminus.  Too many touching glyphs...

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

What do you mean? To use the font at all under x or to use it in xterm ?
I guess you mean xterm. Run xfontsel, find terminus font, add your preferred properties (font style, size, encoding etc) copy the name generated by xfontsel and paste it to your .Xdefautls after xterm*Font: the_font_name_generated_by_xfontsel_here. For aterm replace "xterm" with "aterm" etc. etc.

Run xfontsel to generate a string you can use to define it.

Re: Where to get good console fonts?

has anyone used the proggy fonts for their terminal?  Mine look like crap when bolded, and I am unaware of how to change that.
