I'm having trouble printing out a test page to a remote Brother DCP 7040 printer, whose driver isn't readily available in the repositories or AUR. Whenever I try to print the test page (from the system-config-printer tool), cups gives me the error:

}I, like the person in link, also ripped DCP7040.ppd and brlpdwrapperDCP7040 from $pkgdir/usr/local/Brother/cupswrapper/cupswrapperDCP7040-2.0.2, and I followed the advice on that thread, but still get the same error messages.
Since I'm trying to connect to a remote printer on a Windows computer via samba, the problem might also lay within that. I've noticed that whenever I try to add the printer from the system-config-printer dialog and try the SAMBA option, sometimes my wireless adapter shuts down altogether, forcing me to restart, but that may be irrelevant.
Can anyone help me find out what's wrong? I may be too much of a novice to understand what's going on.
