no sound on HDMI out

I can't get hdmi output on my nvidia gtx 560 card when it works through aplay on device 7 the card also has device 3, and 8 which i think 3 is the default. I cannot figure out how to change that in pulse though. I have made it the default in alsa. But that made me lose sound completely. I then tryed statically loading it from default.pa

alsa-module alsa-source device hw:1,7 

which pulse would not start after that.

solved by alsa-module alsa-sink device hw:1,7 placed before automatic loading by udev and without an asound making it default.

The way I do it is add the line:

load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:1,7

to /etc/pulse/default.pa

Then reboot and you should be able to select it in pulseaudio.
