So, here's my question:
I currently have win xp and arch installed and everything is fine and dandy. What I want to do is install win7 and wipe my current win xp installation. So after installing win7 I expect to find missing grub since win7 will overwrite mbr. Since I have grub2 installed I'm not sure if it would work if I just pop arch installation media and rewrite everything with grub1. I really dont want to mess anything up since it was long time ago when I last did this. And my question is, do have to chroot into my installation and use grub2 tools to reinstall grub2?
Also if anyone has some advice on how to properly do this feel free to post it. Thanks!

Yes, this will be the simplest way to get back your grub2 installed in mbr.
Just boot from a live cd / usb disk, chroot into your arch installation and call grub-install.
