Statistics upon i686 or x86_64 use

Hello,

I was wondering if some statistics could be made on which proportion of the users are using a x86_64 archlinux OS and which proportion of the users are using a i686 archlinux OS.

It is just curiosity, because I was wondering which architecture would be prominent at the moment we are talking.

I suspect from one hand that the i686 architecture is losing market parts while the x86_64 may become, if it is not already, the majority of archlinux users.

Greetings.

I use both because my computer at work is 32 bit.
The statistics, which I was not aware of, do not look surprising.

Re: Statistics upon i686 or x86_64 use

I used both also until I discovered that my computer at work is 64 bits capable.

I would be happy also to know if there is a time evolution graph.

Indeed, this corresponds to the intuition about the proportion of 64 bits capable computer nowadays. Given the fact that every new computer produced is now 64 bits capable, the portion of users for the i686 architecture should be decreasing with time. It would be interesting IMHO to have such related satistics.

Greetings.
