FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

Hi all,

I just finished updating our forums and wiki. FluxBB is now at version 1.4.9 and MediaWiki at 1.19.0. While the forums update was a minor bugfix release the wiki was a major one. The upstream changelog can be found at http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/me … 00115.html

Let men know of any problems due to these updates.

Have fun,

Pierre

Eh?  You didn't know that b'y? wink

Just to elaborate a bit:

In the USA. you would get your payday "check" from your employer.  Here in Canada, you get your "cheque."  We're also fans of putting "u"'s in words, honor is spelled "honour" here.  Also we have two official languages: French and English.  Our French province, Quebec, doesn't speak the same "French" as France, theirs is a dialect of French.  Also for English, one of our provinces, Newfoundland, also speaks a dialect of English.  In Newfoundland for example the letter "h" is usually silent.  So saying the number "three" in Newfoundland is commonly pronounced "tree."  So, yeah, that's us.. ! big_smile

Re: FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

I am not sure whether it is because of the update or not, but I can't login by using opera anymore. I deleted cookies, I even changed my passwrod twice, but it didn't help. When I tried to login by opera after I enter my nick and password a page shows up and says that I logged in successfully and redicreted me to the home page but when a home page shows up I see myself logged out. :S

PS: With firefox there is no problem.

Sounds like a cookie related issue in opera. did you try with a fresh profile? (just move you ~7.opera or whatever that is called elsewhere)

Thanks for the explanation. Because of my involvement in FOSS, I interact with many people from around the world. Because of this, I now do crazy things like add "u"s in words and refer my cell phone as a mobile. It's made me a bit weirder compared to other people in the US than I normally am.

Well... I suppose interacting with the FOSS community AND watching too much Doctor Who has caused that...

That's what I was taught in elementary school wink  Canada is a former British colony however so we would have inherited that spelling.  As trivia, we didn't fully become independent from the UK until the mid 1980s! smile

Re: FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

Unfortunately it seems that after the update, FS#21610 now affects all pages with non-latin titles (before only talk pages were affected). However this time the error apparently says a bit more at the top:

A database error has occurred. Did you forget to run maintenance/update.php after upgrading? See: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Upgrading#Run_the_update_script
Query: SELECT lc_value FROM `l10n_cache` WHERE lc_lang = 'en' AND lc_key = 'messages:editnotice-0-Main_Page_(Česky)' LIMIT 1
Function: LCStore_DB::get
Error: 1267 Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '=' (localhost)

Re: FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

Hi @Pierre, I have just installed Chromium and tried to login but same things happened. I don't know why but I couldn't log in by using Opera or Chromium. I can login with Firefox only. Is there anyone who has same problems or just me :S

Re: FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

After May 5, I can not receive mail notification of my watch list. I remember there is a setting option but can not find it anymore. Is this feature removed?

Re: FluxBB and MediaWiki updated

Again me (: I still can't login by using Opera and still don't know why. A few days ago I installed Arch by using new media (ISO) but nothing changed. The problem that I mentioned in the 4th post still continues...
