Greetings,
I've recently switched over to awesome, however there's this 1 feature that has been bugging me and after much searching I just can't get it to work. Links. Whenever I click a hyperlink in either thunderbird, pidgin or whatever other application, I cannot get it to open on the browser ( namely chromium ) . I've tried messing with mime types, setting text/html to chromium but to no avail. Apparently this is either a very obvious thing to get to work or I'm missing something because I found nothing related to this .
Thanks in advance.
Edit: When I finally decided to request the help of the community, I figured it out how to solve the problem. "export BROWSER=chromium" on my .xinitrc did the trick.

Weird, I have the same issue here in Awesome WM. I have already set the `BROWSER` environment variable in my `.zshrc` so I'm not sure where to look

Update: Looks like the issue was related to my installation medium. I had betterbird installed through flatpak, I switched to betterbird-bin (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/betterbird-bin) from the AUR and this solved the issue for me.
