Copy Paste in virtual machine no X

I am running archlinux without X, in a virtual machine (have open-vm-tools installed and working).
Is it possible to somehow get copy and paste, without installing X (I just need the shell)?

Yeah, I think you'll need to use a program like tmux or GNU screen.

I use GNU screen and do copy and paste. I've recently heard that tmux is "better", but my fingers are so trained to screen that I worry it'll be hard for me to convert. hmm

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Tmux even comes with an additional config file which allows mimicking all the familiar GNU screen keybinds.

Yeah, I just read a bit about tmux. It looks like it was designed to be very comfortable for a screen user. smile
