Are there any good available?
There are some in AUR but or they don't install or they crash.
Which one are you using?

yEd is in the AUR and works, don't know what you need exactly.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...
Look ma, no mouse.

I use Qtstalker and I like it very much...

searching for ss more specific than yEd
Qtstalker - there are 3 versions in AUR, none of them installs here.
I'm testing jstock now.
What do I want? Don't know yet, excactly. I want a software where I can import realtime data from brazilian market. With technical analysis (Bollingers, MACD, etc.) AND filters for them.

I also had problems installing Qtstalker, I had to take the package on another Arch computer to install it.
It has almost all the indicators, you can use it as a stock screener and do some backtesting.
On the down side, it is not user friendly, there is a lot of configuration involved AND it is not realtime. There is a 1 day delay when importing with Yahoo.
I don't think it can be used for day trading, but as to understanding the market and refining my strategies, I am very pleased with it.

so I managed ton install Qtstalker-qt4 with this repro: http://anu.homelinux.net/pub/Archie/
this soft is very complicated but it seams to be the only one with the ability to backtest.
I also tested: jstock, venice, eclipse trader
none of the 4 can be feeded with realtime data.
I would need a software wich I can feed or with DDE or tcp/ip or fix data. Is there anything like this for linux?
day ou even swingtrading is kinf of impossible with the delayed data of yahoo.
I found that jstock is a very nice software though. the stock indicator scanner is very nice and easy to use. also the portfolio managment. Even if it would be realtime data, the intraday grafic is useless though.
I'll guess i'll have to find a solution with wine

Let me/us know if you find something...
And, for what it's worth, I discovered recently Welles Wilder and his indicators. I think ADX and RSI are a winning combination. When +DI is upward and over the downward -DI and the ADX is also over -DI, along with the RSI over 60, then we're on for something good!
I just have to find the right settings or another indicator to eliminate the false signals.
Good luck!
