Cannot connect to via wifi after some upgrade...

After updating some package recently, I cannot connect to wifi. Normally, I'd use netcfg (now v2.8.2) to connect thus:

┌─(dan@archbang)────────────(22:35)───┐
└─(~)─> sudo netcfg -u dd-wrt_vap
:: dd-wrt_vap up [BUSY] DEBUG: status reported to profile_up as:
DEBUG: wireless_up stop_wpa wlan0
DEBUG: wireless_up start_wpa wlan0 /run/network/wpa.wlan0/wpa.conf nl80211,wext
ctrl_iface exists and seems to be in use - cannot override it
Delete '/run/wpa_supplicant/wlan0' manually if it is not used anymore
Failed to initialize control interface '/run/wpa_supplicant'.
You may have another wpa_supplicant process already running or the file was
left by an unclean termination of wpa_supplicant in which case you will need
to manually remove this file before starting wpa_supplicant again.

 > wpa_supplicant did not start, possible configuration error

                                                                         [FAIL]

As you can see, I run into several errors and cannot connect. This is the profile for the wireless connection:

NETCFG_DEBUG=1
CONNECTION="wireless"
ESSID="dd-wrt_vap"
INTERFACE="wlan0"
DESCRIPTION="Automatically generated profile"
SCAN="yes"
IP="dhcp"
TIMEOUT="10"
SECURITY="wep"

Here's my lsmod output:
