Hi All
Today my HDD has started to make funny noises plus there has been an increase in the HDD temp. It usually runs at 36/37 now its constantly 40 plus these weird noises. The laptop & harddrive are not even 12 months old. Any suggestions or ideas
Cheers

Perhaps the internal fan has failed. Need cleaning?

Does your drive support SMART ? If so install smartctl and see what drive has to say.
How are your backups?

define "funny noises"; is it a clicking, is it repeating? is it a buzzing? whirring? we'll need to know more to be able to give you an indication of what is going on.
Is it, for instance, comparable to the clicking sound in the first ~ 25 seconds of this video:

Also, while you may be able to feel air venting, you may not know how much air is venting and how dusty the cooling elements are. Some pressurized air or a vacuum cleaner with a blow function will be to attempt a dust removal without having to take the laptop apart.
